Iron-On DTF Transfer Instructions

 🧾 What You’ll Need

  • Household iron (no steam)

  • Hard, heat-resistant surface (not an ironing board – use a table with a towel or pressing mat)

  • Parchment paper or Teflon sheet (comes with transfer)

  • Your garment (cotton, poly, or blend)

🔹 Step 1 – Prep

  1. Wash and dry the garment first (no fabric softener).

  2. Place garment on a flat, hard surface.

  3. Preheat iron to Cotton/High heat (around 320–340°F if adjustable). Turn off steam.

🔹 Step 2 – Position Transfer

  1. Place the DTF transfer design side down on the garment.

  2. Cover with parchment paper/Teflon sheet.

🔹 Step 3 – Press with Iron

  1. Firmly press iron straight down onto the covered transfer (don’t slide).

  2. Apply firm pressure for 15–20 seconds per section.

    • If design is larger than iron plate, move to next section and overlap slightly.

  3. Ensure the entire design has been evenly pressed.

🔹 Step 4 – Peel Film

  1. Let it cool for 30–60 seconds (warm peel).

  2. Slowly peel carrier film from one corner.

    • If parts lift, lay film back down, cover again, and re-press firmly for 10–15 seconds.

🔹 Step 5 – Final Press (Recommended)

  1. Place parchment paper/Teflon back on top of design.

  2. Press again firmly for 10–15 seconds to lock in.
