How to Press Instant Peel DTF Transfers

Get perfect results every time with our easy step-by-step guide for Instant Peel DTF transfers.

🧼 Step 1: Prepare Your Garment

  • Use a lint roller to remove debris or dust.

  • Pre-press the fabric for 5 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.

  • Set your fabric flat and smooth on the press.

🌡️ Step 2: Set Your Heat Press

  • Temperature: 300°F to 320°F (150°C – 160°C)

  • Pressure: Medium to firm (about 60–80 PSI or enough to leave a press mark on test fabric)

  • Time: 10 to 15 seconds

Always check your heat press with a heat gun or thermometer for accuracy.

🎯 Step 3: Position the Transfer

  • Place the DTF transfer design side up and film side down onto your garment.

  • Use heat tape if needed to hold in place.

🔥 Step 4: Press It

  • Close the press and apply firm pressure for 10 to 15 seconds.

  • Open the press and remove the garment immediately.

✋ Step 5: Peel Instantly

  • Peel the film immediately while still hot!

  • Do it in one smooth motion for best results.

✅ If edges lift, repress with parchment or Teflon sheet for 5 more seconds.

💪 Optional: Second Press

  • For a softer finish and improved durability, cover with parchment or a finishing sheet and press again for 5–10 seconds.

🧼 Washing Instructions

  • Wait 24–48 hours before first wash.

  • Turn inside out.

  • Machine wash cold, gentle cycle.

  • Hang dry or tumble dry low.

  • Do not bleach or iron directly on the print.
